
Was born in Pitalito, Colombia in 1972. Prior to setting up Habitar Architecture he trained at the prestigious Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota for 5 years and qualified in 1996.
During early 1997 he founded his own architectural practice in Pitalito successfully completing commissions for several years including his first international appointment in Spain during 1999.
Later moving to the UK he gained his second accreditation in architecture at Oxford Brookes University where he specialized in the study of vernacular architecture and was awarded the Johnston Doric Prize in 2003. During these years he developed his knowledge in traditional architecture, evolving his skills and design approach to an advanced level which has led to a wide understanding of today’s modern and demanding built environment.
In the autumn of 2006 he gained the Architects Registration Board Part 3 and became a RIBA Chartered Architect. With over ten years of experience, five of them in the UK market he has gained a wide range of experience working for long established Oxfordshire practices such as McBains Cooper, PD Architects, and GBS Architects.
